We report the discovery of a probable nova located at RA(2000) = 00h42m55.78s, Dec(2000) = +41d17'52.6", which is 129.2" east and 104.1" north of the center of M31. The images are obtained with the 50/70cm Schmidt telescope at NAO Rozhen, Bulgaria. The available BVR-magnitudes are:
2011 October 19.71528 UT, R = 17.574 ± 0.059 (from 3x300sec co-added CCD images)
2011 October 19.93366 UT, R = 16.553 ± 0.028 (from 3x300sec co-added CCD images)
2011 October 19.94663 UT, B = 16.747 ± 0.017 (from 3x300sec co-added CCD images)
2011 October 19.96806 UT, V = 16.536 ± 0.020 (from 3x300sec co-added CCD images)
2011 October 20.09843 UT, R = 16.630 ± 0.031 (from 300sec CCD image)
2011 October 20.10365 UT, B = 16.955 ± 0.025 (from 300sec CCD image)
2011 October 20.11205 UT, V = 16.645 ± 0.025 (from 300sec CCD image)
The nearest objects are:
- No.15746 from WeCAPP Survey - M31 variables (Fliri et al., 2006), classified as regular or semi-regular red variable, at distance 1.87".
