This presentation consists of two parts: (1) Results of a study on mass dependent merger rate evolution using close (5 < sep < 20 h-1 kpc) major-merger pairs (stellar mass ratio ≤ 2.5) of z = 0.2 - 1.0 in the COSMOS field. (2) A study on specific star-formation rate (sSFR) enhancement of local close major-merger pairs based on our Spitzer observations.
