Position angles and separations of 68 visual binaries have been measured with a photoelectric phase-grating interferometer on a 60-cm reflector. The data-processing method is described and the random and systematic errors are estimated. Analysis of the residuals relative to the ephemerides shows that for close (rho less than 0.2 arcsec) pairs the existing orbits systematically predict exaggerated separations.
