Current knowledge about the triple star 55 UMa is summarized. The orbital elements of the system consisting of a close pair and a distant companion are determined quite well. The system consists of three stars of the spectral type A. The possible accuracy of determination of effective temperature is also discussed both for the specific case of 55 UMa and for the general case.
