During a balloon-borne observation of the Crab pulsar, a transient
emission line at 77 keV, pulsed at the pulsar frequency, was detected
for the first 25 minutes of a 3 hour observation. This line then
disappeared, although the continuum remained unchanged. The implications
of a cyclotron origin of this feature are discussed.
