The variability properties of 37 BL Lacertae objects were monitored during a six-month interval at a frequency of 2380 MHz. Contrary to expectations, it was found that 30 of these objects showed no significant variations in this interval, and that, therefore, rapid radio variability is not a characteristic property of this class of objects. It is suggested that since these objects do not differ significantly from the subclass of high-polarization QSO's, they possibly belong to this same subclass.
