Optical spectroscopy of 31 bright galaxies, most of which are among the
UGC galaxies detected at 2380 MHz by Dressel and Condon (1978), is
reported. The observations were made at the McDonald Observatory with
the 2.7-m NASA reflector (except for UGC 3915, 4752, 5507, and 9357, for
which the 2.1-m Struve reflector was used).
