The two nearby interacting galaxies NGC 672 (SBS6) and IC 1727 (SBS9) have been optically studied. It is shown that IC 1727 is not a true barred spiral and that is more perturbed than NGC 672 by gravitational interaction. Masses, calculated from red spectra (35 A/mm in the range 6450-6800 A), are similar (8-billion solar masses for NGC 672, 10-billion solar masses for IC 1727). The spectrophotometric study, obtained from blue spectra (92 A/mm in the range 3700-5100 A) confirms the late spectral types of the two objects and indicates homogeneous and moderate, electronic temperatures and excitation degrees.
