New 1D radiation hydrodynamical simulations of the ionization fronts propagated by very massive Pop III stars residing in primordial halos indicate that these stars very efficiently ionized their local environments. Shocks form in the ionized envelope that can expel half of the baryonic matter residing within the halo virial radius ( 100 pc) beyond this radius over the lifetime of the central star, even in the complete absence of any direct mass loss from the star itself. Such outflows facilitate the dispersal of metals if the star subsequently dies in a supernova explosion or retard the growth of the black hole formed if the star instead collapses. The consequences for early chemical enrichment of the universe will be reviewed as well as the fast multistep self-consistent radiation transfer algorithm employed to evolve these outflows. Initial full 3D models of cosmological H II regions will also be presented.
