The synthetic spectrum method is used to estimate the chemical abundance
in the late-type halo carbon star V Ari. The C/O ratio is found to equal
1.07 while the C-12/C-13 isotope ratio is equal to 90. It is shown that
there is a slight overbundance of light metals relative to iron and a
pronounced overbaundance of heavby s-process elements.
