The automation of the Leuschner Observatory 30-inch (76-cm) telescope is discussed. All of the telescope control functions, the telescope positioning, the angle encoders, and the dome alignment have been interfaced to the IEEE-488 instrument bus and can be controlled by a personal computer. The same bus is used to control and collect data from a UBVRI photometer, an intensified Reticon spectrograph, and a Fabry-Perot spectrometer. This telescope is currently being used for the Berkeley Automated Supernova and Nemesis star search.
