The photographic magnitudes of the variable star V 1727 Cyg, optical counterpart to the X-ray source 4U 2129 + 47, were measured on the plates taken at the Piszkesteto and Sonneberg Observatories in the years 1972 - 1983. It is shown that the actual transition between the active and inactive state occurred between September 28, 1982, and August 16, 1983.
