The observational consequences of a possible rapid rotation of Wolf-Rayet stars, stimulating mass loss, are considered. WR-stars ought to be anisotropic. This would imply a difference in physical characteristics of a WR-star depending on the orientation of its equatorial plane with respect to the line of sight. For many WR+OB stars angles of inclination have been determined by various methods, and thus one may speak of the orientation of the 'equatorial shells' of WR stars. From the relationships found between different physical characteristics of Wolf-Rayet stars forming binary systems and the inclination of their equatorial planes, no signs of anisotropy in mass loss due to possible rapid rotation appear.
