It is shown that quantum gravity with a cosmological constant in a
purely affine picture is a power-counting-renormalizable (unitary)
theory. The relevance of such a result is based on the equivalence,
proved by Kijowski, of the affine formulation of gravity with the
standard affine-metric picture.
