Active optics methods are capable to generate a large variety of aspherical figures of particular interest in the design of cameras and spectrographs for astronomical instrumentation. All-reflective optics are required for EUV, UV, IR, and NIR observations are generally preferred in the visible for large spectral coverages. The case of biaxial symmetry mirrors has been investigated for on-axis aberration correction of third order astigmatism. The new propsed solution has been optimized from the in-extensional flexure of a tubular model linked at one end to a constant thickness meniscus mirror. Interferometric results display the diffraction limited accuracy of obtained toroid figures.
