The paper gives arguments supporting the idea that the whole range of phenomena in the center of the Galaxy can be attributed to a supernova outburst in a binary system about 100 years ago. Such an object should be quite similar to SS433, only much younger, more compact and more active. In particular, the anomalously high abundance of helium, as compared to hydrogen, recently detected in the IRS-16 source that is emitting a ``broad'' (Δν~1500 km.s-1) helium line at ν=4857 cm-1 is explained by the fact that the emitting plasma is an expanding remnant of the exploded massive He star.
