An attempt is made to find very old SNRs, which may be hidden in the complex background radio emission of the Galaxy, by means of radio continuum survey data at 408 and 820 MHz. Structures of scale sizes smaller than 4 deg are obtained by a method for the subtraction of large scale background structures, and many loop-like features are found. Among these, five loops of 3-10 deg diameters are found to be associated with HI shells. It is suggested that these may be extremely old SNRs, of about one million years, at distances of less than about 1 kpc from the sun.
