We survey 86 active regions from 1996 to 2002 in 23rd cycle which produced more than three X-ray major flares and X-ray flare index is lager than 0.5.By studying tilt angle to solar equator and force-free field parameter αbest of the magnetic fields of the active regions we find that only 54% follow Hale-Nicholson law while a overall tendency (a least-square fit) displays a negative correlation between the tilt and latitude;about half of the active regions and the overall tendency follow hemisphere helicity rule having a negative correlation between the twist and latitude; 65% of the active regions and the overall tendency show same sign between writhe and twist. For 54 active regions with δ magnetic configuration 60% show same sign between the writhe and twist that confirms kink hypothesis prediction for δ active regions to some extent that the twist and writhe in δ active regions should have the same sign. We will display relationship among the X-ray flare index area of sunspots magnetic class and total local helicity (writhe and twist) of magnetic field of active regions. We study the sign between the twist and writhe of active regions how to relate to producing CMEs and geo-magnetic storms.
