A key problem in modern cosmology is understanding the epoch of reionization. We have initiated a programme for spectral-line imaging of redshifted 21-cm HI line from neutral hydrogen at the reionization epoch: our observations use the 150-MHz band of the Giant Meter Wave Radio Telescope (GMRT). The observing frequency corresponds to a redshift of about 8.5. Analysis of data taken to date is in progress and we present a status report.
