Spectral observations of the dwarf nova AH Herculis in quiescence in the wavelength range between 5300 Å and 7150 Å are presented. A comparison with the results of the recent study by Horne et al. (1986) shows a general agreement. The secondary star is clearly visible in the spectrum and its spectral type Sp is confined to K2 ≤ Sp ≤ M0, most probably near K5. The relative flux contribution of the primary with respect to the secondary of the system, the absolute visual magnitude of the primary and the whole system, and its distance are calculated as a function of the secondary's spectral subtype. AH Her turns out to be one of the intrinsically brightest dwarf novae in quiescence.
