About one hundred photometric observations in the Geneva Photometric System have been obtained for HD 96008. A Fourier analysis and phase dispersion minimization technique have been used in order to derive a frequency of 3.22994±0.00013 c/d (corresponding to a 0.31 days period) or one half frequency of 1.61948±0.00013 c/d (corresponding to a 0.62 days period). The nature of HD 96008 is at present unclear: either it is a close binary system with ellipsoidal components, having the very short orbital period of 0.62 days and the small total amplitude of 0.025 mag, or it is a pulsator with a period of 0.31 days, which is rather long for a pulsation of the Delta Scuti type.
