The paper examines the possibility that magnetized cracks may exist for long periods in the crust and that matter from the mantle may continuously flow through them into the magnetosphere. On this basis, a consistent model of the Crab pulsar is constructed in which radio emission is generated in the star mantle by the Josephson effect, whereas X-ray and optical emissions are generated in the cracks and in the magnetosphere over the cracks during the flow of electrons and protons from the mantle.
