The very high sensitivity OH observing system at the Arecibo Observatory was used to search for 1665 and 1667 MHz emission from globular cluster stars. No lines were detected from 15 clusters, with typical flux density upper limits of 10 mJy. The corresponding OH line luminosity upper limits are low compared with known stellar maser luminosities. This suggests that the probability of a cluster long period variable being an OH emitter is less than for a disk LPV.
