The mapping of a 2 deg field centered on the supernova remnant G78.2+2.1 in the 21 cm line emission of atomic hydrogen is presented. Analysis of visibilities shows that the structure is concentrated down to scale sizes of a few arcmin at velocities corresponding to arms recognized from large-scale emission features. Atomic hydrogen coincident with a foreground dark cloud can be seen absorbing the background continuum emission from the HII region IC1318; the absorption correlates with the H(alpha) extinction in the field, and there is evidence that some hydrogen in this cloud is in molecular form.
