High-cadence He II lambda304 images recorded with the Extreme-ultraviolet Imaging Telescope on the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory show quiescent prominences as organized systems of long-lived jets. The prominence loop arcades consist of chromospheric material that streams continually from one end of each loop to the other; the speeds are typically of order 30 km s^-1 and tend to increase along the length of the loop. We suggest that the jets are triggered by magnetic reconnection during the process of flux submergence at the photospheric neutral line.
