The Pierre Auger Observatory is in advanced stage of construction in the southern site of Malargu~e, Argentina. This progress report mainly focuses on hybrid events, a remarkable subset of cosmic ray events which are simultaneously detected by both Surface Detector and Fluorescence Detector subsystems. The hybrid method and its performances are presented.
