Images of the Seyfert galaxy, MKn 6, have been obtained through filters centered both on and off the Doppler-shifted wavelength of the forbidden O III 5007-A line with the Manchester echelle spectrometer in its imaging mode combined with the 4.2-m William Herschel telescope. Profiles of the same line along one slit length were also obtained with the spectrometer. Ionized gas extends up to 22 kpc from the nucleus in two lobes whose axes are aligned with the line joining the two nuclear radio sources. The widths of the forbidden O III 5007-A profiles of this extended gas are only between 30-70 km/s.
