Radiative Transfer: Scattering
Scientific paper
The diffraction-scattering subtraction method developed by the author is applied to radiative transfer in a highly anisotropic scattering medium exposed to collimated incident light. Utilizing this method, he derives an equation of transfer for the diffuse component suitable for accurate numerical computations with conventional procedures. The validity of the derived equation of transfer is confirmed through several numerical simulations. The coupled diffuse and collimated incident case is also discussed.
