A reanalysis has been conducted for the 8.6-micron emission feature attributable to both the C3H8 and CH3D bands that was recorded by the Voyager 1 IRIS instrument in the equatorial region of Titan; IRIS spectral observations were compared to the synthetic spectra of an atmospheric model incorporating recent results on equatorial Titan's thermal structure and gas composition. The D/H value of 1.5 (+1.4,-0.5) x 10 to the -4th thus derived is noted to be in excellent agreement with the 1.6-micron CH3D-band estimate by de Bergh et al. (1988), as well as consistent with the revised value of Owen et al. (1986).
