A nucleosynthesis code using an implicit differencing scheme to solve a linear system of equations was used to calculate the effect of different depths of mixing and different time scales on the C-12/C-13 abundance ratios and nitrogen abundance while a star is on the main sequence. Fast mixing can produce an abundance ratio in the range 10 to 20 only by mixing to a thin shell, and no deeper. Slow mixing increases slightly the size of the shell in which the C-13 is enhanced. Mixing below this shell causes significant enhancement of N-14.
