Divnoe was found in 1981 as one fragment of 12.7 kg. It originates from a parent body, originally chondritic in composition, that experienced ~20% partial melting at ~1300 degrees C, after which ~40% of the remaining liquid, which was rich in incompatible elements, was removed. The initial 87Sr/86Sr = 0.6981 +/- 0.0012 (within error identical to BABI) and the content of 129Xe from 129I decay indicates an early formation in the solar system. The oxygen isotopic ratios fall on the upper extention of the HED/brachinite fractionation line. We analyzed the noble gas isotopic composition and a number of chemical abundances and found a close relationship with the brachinites Brachina and ALH84025. Generally, the bulk chemical composition of Divnoe matches that of ALH84025 quite well. The concentrations of the trapped noble gases in Divnoe and the brachinites are similar. The amount of trapped Xe in Divnoe corresponds to that found in type 4 ordinary chondrites. It is remarkable that both primitive achondrites, Divnoe and Brachina (U. Ott, pers. comm.), contain trapped Xe in ordinary chondritic isotopic abundances. Divnoe broke off it's parent body 17.2 Ma ago. We conclude that Divnoe is closely related to brachinites in three diagnostic characteristics: chemical composition, oxygen- and xenon isotopic ratios.
