The 'cosmological' problem of pair production from the vacuum state near the singularity in open, closed, and quasi-Euclidean Friedmann models is solved for scalar particles of mass m. Analytic expressions are derived for the energy and pressure in the vicinity of the singularity. The results show that pair production is most intense at times of the order of 1/m (in geometrical units).
