Observations of four edge-on galaxies were made at 1.465 GHz with a VLA at a resolution of 15 arcsec. The galaxies are NGC2820, 3044, 3221, and 4157. The distribution of radio emission perpendicular to the plane in the galaxies extends further than the light distribution. Two of the galaxies have wider z-distributions in the radio continuum, with a full width at half maximum of about 1 kpc.
