Simple nonthermal gyrosynchrotron models were applied to the quiescent emission of M dwarf stars. Evidence is presented which suggests that these stars have a number of smaller active regions contributing to the observed flux. The evidence includes an absence of Zeeman polarization in optical observations and a lack of polarization in quiescent emission.
