The '03-05 mission to Mars will include many of the elements already discussed for the '0 1 mission. The Athena payload has been adopted for the analysis and selection of samples, and the will include many of the same measurements to be performed during the '01 mission. In addition, the missions will include yet to be determined experiments to be done on or from the lander. Several groups are now competing for instruments and science to be done on the lander for both '03 and '05.
