Observations of the ν5 vibration-rotation band of C2H2 around 13.7 μm and the ν2 band of HCN around 14.0 μm along the line of sight toward a large sample of deeply embedded massive young stellar objects (YSOs) have been made. The observed spectra and the inferred excitation temperatures, column densities, derived by comparison with model spectra, and the corresponding abundances are presented here. This paper summarises the poster presented at the conference. The published text with the complete results and full discussion can be found in Lahuis and van Dishoeck (2000).
