Optical positions of the radio sources 0716+714 and 0839+187 have been obtained at the Beijing Observatory with the 60-cm telescope and a CCD camera using reference stars taken from Carlsberg Meridian Circle (CMC) catalogues. The mean internal errors for the radio sources are 0.19″in right ascension and declination. The comparison between the authors' results and those in other optical and radio catalogues is given.
