A planetary model of the Venus thermosphere, constructed basing on direct observations performed on the Pioneer-Venera spacecraft, are used to explain the behavior of the altitude distributions of the electron density, found from the Venera radiotransillumination data during different years. Comparing the computed and experimental distributions for different zenith angles and solar activity shows that the observed variations of the altitude profiles in the region of photochemical equilibrium of the Venus daytime ionsphere can be explained by the changes in the UV-radiation flux and the parameters of the model of the thermosphere during a solar activity cycle.
