Mirrors: Control Systems
Scientific paper
An optical sensor system based on the interferometric modification of the Hartmann method is proposed for controlling the alignment and phasing of segmented mirrors. A CCD-camera is used as the detector. No additional optical components are necessarily needed in the system. The sensor is useful also for a global control of the optical system with high sampling frequency and good accuracy.
