The results of calculations of the rate constants for OH+CO→CO2+H are presented. They suggest that this reaction is at least an order-of-magnitude slower at temperatures below 70K than has previously been assumed. The only neutral-neutral reactions which are likely to be important in interstellar chemistry are those between two free radicals which can occur by successive bond-forming bond-breaking steps.
