Moderate-resolution spectroscopic data for many of the Galactic low-mass X-ray binaries (LMXB) have been obtained over the past few years at CTIO. The primary goal was to study the kinematics of these systems to constrain their age and origin. Radial velocities have been measured for some previously unstudied systems. In cases when orbital periods are known from other data, the authors have fitted "mini-orbits" which can be used, in a crude way, to discuss the masses of the stars in these systems. Also presented is a collection of spectra of the observed low-mass X-ray binaries.
