Observations of HD 41724-5 and HD 177390-1 made at the Observatoire de Haute-Provence show them to be detached Am spectroscopic binaries. Results for HD 41724-5 reveal a period of 2.887679 days and suggest that the secondary could be either an F or early G dwarf star. For HD 177390-1, a period of 8.00802 days is found, and the MK spectral types A2, A6, and F4 are obtained from the CaII K line, Balmer lines, and metallic lines, respectively.
