CCD observations of the most distant M31 globular cluster candidate, vdB, have been obtained with the 152-cm Loiano telescope and with the intensified image dissector scanner at the KPNO 4-m telescope. The results indicate that this objects consists of two blended stars. It is suggested that vdB is not a M31 globular cluster, and that it should be disregarded in the analysis of M31 halo properties.
