Radial velocities for the long-period eclipsing binaries UU Cnc and BM Cas are measured from low-dispersion spectrograms. It is shown that UU Cnc is an eclipsing binary rather than an RW Tau star, as previously suggested, and that the companion star should be of a spectral type earlier than K4 III. For BM Cas, it is found that the measured radial velocities roughly follow the circular motion of the star eclipsed at zero phase except during primary minimum, that the velocities have the appearance of a rotational disturbance with an amplitude of approximately 40 km/s during primary eclipse, and that the implied rotational velocity of the star is considerably greater than 40 km/s. The absolute magnitude of BM Cas is estimated to be about -5.8, confirming that this star is of luminosity class Ia.
