A study of the integral properties of a large number of galaxies varying in morphological classification indicates that the initial gas density in a protogalaxy does not appear to be related to the galaxy morphological type. In addition, different initial gas densities may occur in galaxies with the same morphological type. In this case, the densest galaxies appear to be the reddest, which confirms that the rate of star formation depends on the gas density mean value. Investigation of the properties of the blue dwarf and classical dwarf galaxies gives support to the theory that blue dwarf galaxies are not young objects with anomalous stellar formation but are classical objects in which star formation proceeds in flashes.
