A description is presented of high resolution observations made with radio-link interferometers which show that the QSOs 3C345 and 3C454.3 have an extended radio structure similar to that of 3C273. It is, therefore, suggested that these sources should be classified as D2 according to the proposal made by Miley (1971). The considered observations show that the nuclear component of 3C345 is unresolved, with an angular size of less than 0.1 arc sec. The observations reveal also extended emission from a steep-spectrum companion component in each source.
