From the viewpoint of a new scheme of the generation of the fundamental radiation type III solar radio bursts an interpretation is given for the experimental data on the ratio of frequencies and of frequency drift rates of harmonic and fundamental radiation. A conclusion is made on the fact that electron fluxes generating the burst undergo a noticeable deceleration (from 0.6 to 0.3 c) at the path 1011cm. A possibility is shown to define the mean electron flux velocity from the value of the ratio of harmonic component frequencies in type III bursts.
