Scientific paper

Radial velocities of blue horizontal branch field (bhbf) stars have been
measured. The solar motion solution is determined for a sample of bhbf
stars. It is found to be 172±40 km s-1. The
Z-dispersion of the local velocity ellipsoid of bhbf stars is
determined. It is found to be 114±28 km s-1.
