The design and construction of a polarimeter for simultaneous high-speed linear and circular polarimetry are described. Observations are presented for the AM Her-type binary EF Eri. These show two types of polarization behavior and a transition between the two types within one orbit. Modeling of the average behavior is carried out to obtain better geometrical parameters for the inclination and magnetic colatitude of the accretion column. Linear and circular polarization curves are synthesized from the position-angle data and calculations of cyclotron beaming effects. The validity of the simple centered dipole model for the primary magnetic field is discussed in terms of the variations seen from cycle to cycle.
