The NASA 2.4-m aperture Space Telescope (ST) will be associated with the Space Shuttle, the Tracking and Data Relay System, the Communications Center at White Sands, the Space Telescope Operations Control Center at Goddard, and the Science Institute at Johns Hopkins University. Attention is presently given to the features of the Scientific Instruments and Optical Telescope Assembly, which encompasses the Wide Field/Planetary Camera, the Faint Object Camera, the Faint Object Spectrograph, the High Resolution Spectrograph, the High Speed Photometer, and the Fine Guidance System. The ST Support System Module and Subsystems is composed of the Thermal Control System, the Electrical Power System, the Pointing Control Subsystem, and the Onboard Instrumentation and Communication Subsystem.
